East Atlanta Clay is hosting its first-ever juried Object Show, celebrating the humble Salt & Pepper shaker.

Submit your best concepts for a chance to create your design and exhibit it at a one-night pop-up at MODA, the Museum of Design Atlanta, on October 29, 2026.

Whether you sculpt, throw, blow glass, or carve, this competition is for you.

How to Submit

$20 Entry Fee

Submit up to 3 concepts and up to 6 examples of your past work.

Concepts can be sketches, drawings, renderings, or other visuals showing the Salt + Pepper shaker set you plan to make.

Your $20 entry fee supports East Atlanta Clay: For the People, our nonprofit helping make ceramics more accessible to children and adults in East Atlanta.

How it works

    Submissions Open

    September 1, 2026

    The entry portal opens.

  2. 02

    Create + Submit

    Crafter, ceramicist, glass artist, woodworker—we want to see your personal take. Functional, abstract, elegant, or absurd: submit up to 3 concepts and up to 6 examples of your past work.

    Submissions Close

    September 20, 2026 · 11:59 PM

    The portal for submissions will close.

  4. 04

    Selected Artists Notified

    Beginning September 15, 2026

    Selected artists will be notified on a rolling basis beginning September 15. Submissions will remain open through September 20, and entries received after September 15 will still be reviewed and considered.

  5. 05

    Finished Work Due

    October 25, 2026

    Selected artists will create their finished Salt & Pepper shaker set by this deadline.

  6. 06

    Object Show at MODA

    October 29, 2026 · 5:30–7:30 PM

    A one-night pop-up exhibition at the Museum of Design Atlanta. The public will vote on the winner of the first-ever Object Show.
